Who is OuterSpaces?

  • OuterSpaces is a registered charitable trust in New Zealand, which operates as the parent organisation for three LGBTQI+ youth groups based in Wellington; School’s Out, Tranzform and Naming New Zealand.

    The trust exists to coordinate, fundraise for, and support these groups, to help the volunteers run these groups safely and sustainably, as per our values.

How is OuterSpaces funded?

  • OuterSpaces is funded by donations, grants, sponsorships and fundraisers.

  • We take donations and appreciate any contributions. See our Donate page for more information.

Who do we talk to at OuterSpaces?

Where can I get a binder?

  • OuterSpaces do not have access to binders currently. However, Gender Minorities Aotearoa have a resource for binders and where to get them.


FAQ’s About Groups

Can I come to a group and where are they?

  • School’s Out is in Wellington CBD and Lower Hutt for any LGBTQI+ between the ages of 12 to 18.

  • Tranzform is based in Wellington CBD for gender diverse young people aged 15 to 30. Ask a facilitator for location information.

What if I’m not in Wellington?

  • OuterSpaces don’t have any other locations at this time and you may want to look into other community groups in you area.
