Coven: A Party For Women & Gender Minorities

… something wicked this way comes.

Gather around the cauldron, witches, because COVEN is back. It’s a sapphic seance, a butch bewitching, a homosexual hexing. COVEN is a big queer hangout for women and gender minorities, featuring devilishly good music, delicious potions and spellbinding tunes all night. It’s a gathering; a space to relax, bond, cast a curse or two or dance up a storm for the goddesses. So come make some magic with in 2019 at Ivy. You’ll be charmed, I’m sure.

Just koha on the door!

COVEN is a party for queer women and gender minorities. If those words don’t describe you, we kindly ask that perhaps you consider not attending this event. Let’s keep this night a safe, inviting community event for those who need it. Please get in touch with any questions or queries.

Please note! The event space is located down two flights of stairs, but please get in touch before the gig if you have any accessibility concerns so we can best help you out.

The Glamaphones: Greatest Hits Volume II: 2015-2018

Wellington’s rainbow choir brings you a special “best of” line up to celebrate the Capital hosting the World ILGA Conference.

This programme is packed with fan favourites, drawing on songs we’ve performed over the past four years under Musical Director Rachel Hyde. There will be something for everyone: from Gareth Farr’s “During These Days” (performed at Parliament to mark the 30th anniversary of homosexual law reform), to Don McGlashan’s “Anchor Me” and “Bathe In the River” (arranged for our Homegrown set performed at the 2018 Sydney Mardi Gras), and “This Is Me” (a highlight from our November 2018 Out and Loud and Proud concert previously performed with Island Bay Primary School “Glama-kids”).

Join us for a great evening of queer music followed by light refreshments.

The Glamaphones is an all-inclusive rainbow choir based at St Andrews on the Terrace. We rehearse on Thursdays from 6.30 to 8.30pm. No auditions required.
