If Beale Street Could Talk - NamingNZ Fundraiser

  • Light House Cuba 29 Wigan Street Wellington, Wellington, 6011 New Zealand (map)

NamingNZ is celebrating Pride Month with a movie fundraiser!

The Film:
"In early 1970s Harlem, daughter and wife-to-be Tish vividly recalls the passion, respect and trust that have connected her and her artist fiancé Alonzo Hunt, who goes by the nickname Fonny. Friends since childhood, the devoted couple dream of a future together, but their plans are derailed when Fonny is arrested for a crime he did not commit."

About us:
Naming New Zealand is an organisation to help transgender, gender diverse and intersex youth with updating their identity documents to correctly reflect their sex and gender. We provide resources about the process of correcting identity documents within New Zealand, connect trans youth with organisations that can help, and assist with the costs of making these important changes.
