Sara is the current chair for OuterSpaces and she has been involved with School’s Out in one form or another for the past several years. Sara is grateful to be able to offer her skills to help this powerful and useful organisation to run and be a beautiful space for our young people.

Jevon Wright | Treasurer (She/Her)

Jevon has been helping Tranzform and Naming New Zealand since mid-2014 and was one of the founding members of the charitable trust. She enjoys working in diverse volunteer communities and is passionate about helping others, addressing inequity, and empowering people to be the best they can be. During the day, she leads diverse and sustainable teams of great people to build great software.

Judy O’Brien | Board Member (She/Her)

Judy has been involved with OuterSpaces board and Tranzform as a facilitator since mid-2017. She have a long history of community organising and violence prevention strategy. Judy is passionate about cultural change and strongly believes in a community responsibility approach to fostering a safe and civil society in Aotearoa for our gender diverse rangatahi.

Sue Lytollis | Board Member (She/Her)

Sue has been active in the prevention of violence to women & girls most of her working life and recently started working as a social worker for people over 65. Not wanting to lose contact with younger people Sue decided to share he skills with Outerspaces. She loves the energy and enthusiasm of the people that OuterSpaces reaches and is also passionate about working towards a change in awareness, understanding & acceptance around gender & sexuality identity.

Alice Wood | Board Member (She/Her)

Alice joined the OuterSpaces Board in November 2018. She is a practicing lawyer in civil litigation, with a background in performance improvement advisory services. Alice has been on the executive committees for the Victoria University of Wellington Law Students’ Society and Feminist Law Society, and has volunteered for a number of other organisations. She is excited to use her advocacy skills and governance knowledge to contribute to the OuterSpaces board and the community it supports.

Rickee Te Wini | Board Member (He/Him)

Ngāti Porou, Ngāpuhi, Ngai Tūhoe, Ngāti Kahungunu, Te Whakatōhea

Rickee is a policy officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, where he helps the Chief Executive to deliver a diverse and inclusive workplace. Rickee is passionate about using his skills and experience to improve the well-being of takatāpui, building community and creating safe and culturally appropriate spaces where diverse people can be their authentic selves.
